What does it mean to forgive? does it mean that we turn a blind eye and accept the wrongdoing of others? Does it mean we have to forget? Do we pick up where we left off and pretend that it never happened. No, Forgiveness means that we acknowledge the wrongs that have been done and the harm that has been caused. We also recognize the humanness of the person, persons, or ourselves, that we are deciding to forgive. It means we consciously step out of the pain, judgment, shame, embarrassment and harsh feelings and recognize that we all make mistakes and that We are all sparks of the, we are divine. No matter the deed we are all here to learn and grow and remember who we truly are. When we forgive it doesn't mean we have to forget. Forgiveness means we free ourselves from our own prison and pain and opens and softens our hearts to allow for love and joy to emerge in the space where the negative emotions once resided. By forgiving others we heal our wounds. We make room for new experiences, we step out of fear, anger, hatred and all lower vibrations. We raise our frequency to that of love. We can the step forward and live happy and fulfilling lives. We also make room for the wrong doer to recognize their deed and forgive themselves so that they too can move into the higher vibrations and live a life of joy, love, laughter and happiness. This after all is what we are all here to do.
“That love is all there is, Is all we know. “That love is all there is, Is all we know of love.”
Emily Dickinson
