Reiki healing is a form of alternative medicine that harnesses the power of the universe to promote healing and balance within the body. The practice originated in Japan in the early 20th century and has since spread worldwide.
The founder of Reiki is Mikao Usui, a Japanese spiritual teacher who developed the healing practice in the early 20th century. Usui is believed to have had a profound spiritual experience while meditating on a mountain, which led him to develop the principles and techniques of Reiki. Today, Reiki is a popular form of complementary medicine that aims to promote physical and emotional healing through the use of energy transfer and relaxation techniques.

Reiki practitioners believe that the universe is filled with a life force energy called ki or chi, which flows through all living things. When this energy is blocked or unbalanced, it can lead to physical, emotional, and spiritual ailments. Reiki healing aims to restore balance to the body's energy centers, or chakras, by channeling this energy through the hands of a trained practitioner. During a typical reiki session, the recipient lies down or sits comfortably while the practitioner places their hands on or near the body. The practitioner then channels the energy into the recipient, promoting relaxation and healing.
While the scientific evidence for reiki healing is limited, many people report feeling more relaxed, less stressed, and experiencing relief from physical and emotional pain after receiving treatment. Reiki healing can be a powerful tool for promoting overall wellbeing and balance in your life.
